Methionine is an essential source of sulfur, which helps strengthen the hair and skin and encourages nail growth. It also helps relieve pain and inflammation.
Threonine is needed to create glycine and serine, two amino acids that are necessary for the production of collagen, elastin and muscle tissue.
It is dark brown to black with light spots when solid; Completely dark when melted. The scent is herbal to earthy/mossy/ because of its unrefined, raw state. It is VERY EARTHY with amazing moisturizing properties, it whips very well. Cold Pressed/ Unrefined/Soft texture which makes it absorb quickly. It does SMELL, if you are used to commercial products you will be very surprised at its odor! It mixes well and is so very worth it!
It is excellent for stressed and damaged skin, hair and nails. It reduces the formation of redness, rashes, blemishes and scarring when applied regularly.
Often found in facial anti-ageing creams, massage oil blends, stretch mark creams, cuticle creams, body butters, pain relieving balms, hair masks and conditioners, you can also use Bacuri butter by itself as a moisturizer.
Packaging Options
We now offer your choice of BPA-Free ziploc baggies, BPA-Free Plastic jars or FSC Certified Unbleached Totally Chlorine-Free (TCF) paper packaging. For a small up-charge we can package your butters or soaps in totally organic paper instead of BPA-Free Plastic.
Storage: It should be stored in a cool dark place and has a shelf-life of up to 24 months from opening when stored properly.
The product may be subject to variation in color, viscosity, smell and other factors depending on the harvesting and local temperature.
