Natural Clays - What is it and What is it used for?

Clay’s are used to cleanse the skin, slough off dead skin cells and to create an overall refreshed appearance. It can be used on oily or acne-prone skin. It is most widely used in cosmetic manufacturing. They are used for the ultimate facial mask that improves skin, tightens pores, freshens complexion, and clears blemishes.

Our clay leaves your skin feeling clean, and radiant. The clay in mask form promotes cleaner and smoother skin by drawing out harmful oils, toxins, and impurities. In addition, the clay stimulates tissue repair.

Bentonite Clay is amazing for your face, skin and hair. It is also used for clarifying wine, liquor, cider, beer, mead, and vinegar; has been prescribed as a laxative. For all skin types. Use only non-metallic as it’s negatively charged.

French Green Clay features extraordinary absorption properties for drawing out impurities, while toning, firming, and stimulating circulation. This clay is used in spas due to its excellent revitalizing and exfoliating. recommended for oily skins or a normal/oily skin combination.

French Rose or Pink Kaolin Clay tender cleansing for external use. Gentle exfoliating yet balancing mask for sensitive to normal skin types. The mildest of all facial clays. It gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin while improving the circulation for a healthier glow.

Rhassoul Clay is a high-quality soothing clay for external use that stores indefinitely if kept dry. It is sourced from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and is often used in spas for skin and hair. Excellent for oily skin and men with thick, tough skin.

Soothing Face Mask Recipe:
Combine 1 oz of clay to 3 tbsp of water
1 tsp of rice bran or apricot kernel oil a
2 drops of chamomile, rose or grapefruit essential oil to form a paste.
Apply to the skin and leave for about 10 minutes and wash off with warm water. Floral water (you can make the rosewater yourself), beer or aloe vera gel juice can be substituted for water.

Foaming Baths and Shampoos Recipe:
Add 5-10% of clays to product. Simply sprinkle the clay in, allowing it to settle. Always shake before use as the Clay sinks to the bottom.

Body Wrap
Mix equal parts Clay and water or herbal tea to create the desired amount.
Add 1 tbsp powdered herb of choice (optional)
Add 1 tsp dead sea salt and mix the ingredients together
Apply to the body part needed (eczema, fungal, etc.) and wrap tightly with cling film.

Allow the mixture to set for 30-40 minutes and then get into the bath or shower afterwards. Drink plenty of water or detox tea during and after wrap to help flush the toxins the wrap will release.

Caution: Caution should be exercised as clays may stain fabric.
